GSREIN Launches Remine
Exclusive partnership brings big data to New Orleans Metro Area Real Estate Agents

 

New Orleans, LA. (March 12, 2018) – The Gulf South Real Estate Information Network (GSREIN), the largest multiple listing service (MLS) in Louisiana, serving more than 6,300 Realtors in the New Orleans Metropolitan area today announced Remine’s new, cutting-edge real estate intelligence platform is now live in Louisiana, making it among the first ten MLSs in the country to launch the product. 

This week Realtors are getting their first look at this amazing new product and learning how big data can be used to realize a competitive edge in real estate. Custom webinars are available for agents in the area to learn all the functionality of the platform and additional trainings are being planned for the near future.

New MLS Rules and Regulations

Residential Property Disclosure Rule

You are now required to upload a Residential Property Disclosure to all applicable MLS listings within 72 hours of the list date.

Section 1.2.5 LOUISIANA RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENT:

Effective January 1, 2010 the Residential Property Disclosure will be REQUIRED to be attached to all applicable listings in the MLS within 72 hours of listing entry unless the property is exempt from the Residential Property Disclosure, or unless written documentation requesting that the disclosure form not be uploaded to the MLS is signed by the Seller and submitted to the MLS. (Amended 05/2017)

 

New MLS Fining process

A new fining process has been implemented to help you become familiar with the MLS rules and Regulations without harsh financial penalty all while still ensuring that the most accurate Data is provided in the MLS. 

Previously when an agent received a compliance warning via e-mail, they were given 72 hours to correct the violation. If the violation was not corrected OR if the same violation occurred on a different listing within 365 days of the original violation, the agent would be fined.

The New Fining Process is as Follows:

A warning letter will be sent to the listing agent via e-mail, as well as the Participant, for a first time offense on each listing. The listing agent will be given 48 hours from the date the e-mail notice is sent to correct the violation without penalty.

If the listing agent fails to correct the first offense on the same listing within the 48-hour period provided above, the violation will be escalated to a second offense of this rule and a fine of $100 shall be assessed to the listing agent. The listing agent will be given 48 hours from the date the fine notice is sent via e-mail to correct the violation. If not corrected within the 48-hour period, the violation will be escalated to a third offense of this rule.

A fine of $250.00 shall be assessed to the listing agent for a third offense of this rule on the same listing. The listing agent will be given 48 hours from the date the fine notice is sent via e-mail to correct the violation. If not corrected within the 48-hour period, the violation will be escalated to a fourth offense of this rule.

For the fourth and any subsequent violation of this rule, on the same listing, a fine of $500.00 shall be assessed to the listing agent. The listing agent will be given 48 hours from the date the fine notice is sent via e-mail to correct the violation. If not corrected within the 48-hour period, the violation will be escalated to a subsequent offense and a fine of $500.00 for each subsequent offense shall be assessed to the listing agent.
