Hope to Home is an initiative of New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® and its Commercial Investment Division that centers on advocating for the homeless in New Orleans. The focus of Hope to Home is to develop a long-term, transformational program dedicated to supporting the homeless with children and advocating and assisting in the development of permanent supportive housing (PSH) in New Orleans.
Furniture Donation Information
Don't let furniture go to waste - donate it to the less fortunate! New Orleans Mission and UNITY of Greater New Orleans are accepting donations!
To donate to New Orleans Mission, call (504) 523-2116 Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. They need practical home furniture and appliances in good working order, as well as household items. They will pick up the furniture (including the Northshore!) within two weeks. New Orleans Mission will provide a donation form for tax purposes. Click here to learn more about New Orleans Mission.
To donate to UNITY for Greater New Orleans, call (504) 483-9300, or drop off items at their warehouse located at 506 North St. Patrick St., Monday - Thursday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. They need practical home furniture and household items, clean linens, and cleaning supplies. They are not currently accepting major appliances, sofa beds, china cabinets, or large office desks. They will pick up items within two weeks in most of Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, and will provide a receipt for tax purposes. Click here to learn more about UNITY of Greater New Orleans.
