Louisiana REALTORS® Spring Conference, April 8 - 10 in Baton Rouge
Louisiana REALTORS® 2014 Spring into Action Conference & Expo is being held April 8 -10 at the Hilton Capitol Center in Baton Rouge. The event includes national speakers, continuing education, governance meetings and legislative issues briefings. With the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Conference being held in New Orleans this Fall, the Board of Directors of Louisiana REALTORS® made the decision to bring you a power-packed Spring event that includes the best features of our traditional Spring Conference as well as those of our Annual Fall Convention & Expo.

Home Buying Course "Spanish" March 29th and 30th
Realizing the need to simplify the path for citizens to achieve, "the Dream of Homeownership", Sulli Educational Services, Inc. is sponsoring a 12-hour certified homebuyer program. The Spanish course is Saturday, March 29th, 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday, March 30th, 1:00pm to 5:00pm. You must attend both days of the course. All 12-hours are necessary to receive a certificate. The program is $80.
At the end of the course students will receive verification of training that within income limitation opens the door to the various programs in assistance if eligible, Home Funds, Bond Money, various grants in each parish, soft second funds and other grants that help them with their down payment or closing costs. Assistance is subject to credit and income guidelines.

NOREIA Meeting - March 20th
The New Orleans Real Estate Investors Association will be hosting Wade Ragas, former director of the Real Estate Market Data Center at UNO. We invite all NOMAR members to join us at our next meeting for Mr. Ragas' presentation of up to date real estate information for the New Orleans metro area.
The event will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Sheration Galleria Hotel located at 4 Galleria Blvd in Metairie. Networking begins at 6:15pm. The meeting convenes at 6:45pm. Members of NOREIA and first time guests may attend at no charge. There is a $20 charge for repeat guests.

Office Administrator MLS Training Class April 2nd and April 3rd
NOMAR will have an MLS class for office administrators. The class in Metairie will be April 2nd from 1-2:30, and the class in Mandeville will be April 3rd from 1-2:30. This class will cover everything an office administrator encounters every day including MLS rules, MLS listing maintenance tips, and procedures. The Commercial Division (CID) Awards Luncheon is Friday, April 4th
and includes an open bar, entree choice of Petite Filet or Trout Almandine, and wine with lunch. The cost for CID members is $40 and non-members $50. Register online or print registration form.
