St. Bernard Parish Special Needs Residents Eligible for Evacuation Assistance
St. Bernard Parish residents with Special Needs are eligible for assistance in evacuating should a mandatory evacuation be called, either due to a hurricane or another type of emergency which might arise in the parish. Parish President Guy McInnis urges those who need help evacuating to register with the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness by calling 278-4268. 2017 LREC Mandatory Topics
For 2017, the LREC has approved a mandatory topic for salespersons and a mandatory topic for brokers. Agents are required to complete the mandatory topic "Insurance Awareness and Contract Timelines." Brokers are required to complete BOTH "Insurance Awareness and Contract Timelines" AND "Broker Responsibility."
NOMAR has several sales agent mandatory topic classes scheduled throughout the year in both the Metairie and the Mandeville office with more to come. NOMAR is working with approved instructors to schedule broker mandatory topic classes as soon and as often as possible.
A REALTOR® In Need
Bob Stevens, past President of CID, former Director of both NOMAR and LR and Broker of tahe Stevens Realty Group Inc., needs your help. Peter Ganucheau, Bob's youngest grandson, was born with a life-threatening defect. Peter is currently in Atlanta waiting on a liver transplant. Bob is heading a campaign through the Children's Organ Transplant Association raising contributions to help offset medical and related costs of Peter. The campaign goal is $75,000. Please look at Peter's story, a Patient Flyer is attached.
Please keep Bob and his family in your prayers during this difficult time. If you are able to contribute to Peter's fund, we ask that you consider doing so.
