Housing Needed for Tornado Victims

In order to assist tornado victims who are displaced due to damages to their homes, we are asking that you send us available units for lease. Please send along with the address and location of the property, rental price, your contact info and the shortest term that you will accept on a lease. Some are in need to rent short term as they are working on home repairs and may be able to get back in their homes more quickly. Others may need to lease a unit for a longer term. Please submit any units or complexes that are available for rent immediately. We will provide this list to Ellen Lee, Director of Housing Policy and Community Development, City of New Orleans. Thank you for your assistance.  Email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

NAR Changes Ethics Requirements - New 2 Year Cycle (2017-2018)

NAR mandates that Code of Ethics training be completed once per cycle by all its members.  In previous years, those cycles have been 4 years long. The new cycle began January 1, 2017, and is two years long. Therefore, all NAR members must complete Code of Ethics training between January 2017 and December 2018.

NOMAR already has several Code of Ethics classes scheduled throughout 2017, with more to come. You can find classes on NOMAR's online calendar

Remember - if you take your Code of Ethics training with a provider other than NOMAR, NOMAR does not receive notification of your completion, so please submit your Code of Ethics training certificate from the provider to us as soon as possible. You can fax it to (504) 888-1812 or email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

A REALTOR® In Need - UPDATE!

Peter had a successful liver transplant on February 2, and his recovery is going well. He was discharged on Friday, February 10, but the family still needs our help.

Bob Stevens, past President of CID, former Director of both NOMAR and LR and broker of the Stevens Realty Group Inc., needs your help. Peter Ganucheau, Bob's youngest grandson, was born with a life-threatening defect. Bob is heading a campaign through the Children's Organ Transplant Association raising contributions to help offset Peter's medical and related costs. The campaign goal is $75,000. Please read Peter's story here.

Please keep Bob and his family in your prayers during this difficult time. If you are able to contribute to Peter's fund, we ask that you consider doing so.
