LARPAC Bus Trip To Baton Rouge
Take this opportunity to add your voice to the largest Political Action Committee in the country - the REALTOR® Political Action Committee! Join your fellow REALTORS® as they spend a day in Baton Rouge for REALTOR® Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, May 2. This event will bring together REALTORS® from across the state to unite in one common goal - to advocate on behalf of consumers to protect homeownership in Louisiana.
NOMAR wants to make it easy for our members to get in on the action, so we’re providing a bus from the NOMAR Metairie office to the Hilton Capitol Center and back. The bus will depart at 8 a.m. on May 2 and return by 10 p.m. Registration with Louisiana REALTORS® is $79, but it’s free for the first 55 NOMAR LARPAC contributors who sign up! NOMAR members who have not contributed to LARPAC in 2017 can still be part of the bus trip and all events for only $35.

Tickets for the REALTOR®, Manager and Affiliate of the Year Luncheon are now on sale! The luncheon will be held on Thursda, May 25 at Metairie Country Club.
Fair Housing Workshop in Slidell
St. Tammany Parish Government Dept. of Health & Human Services, in collaboration with the City of Slidell Dept. of Planning, will host a Fair Housing Workshop at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. to coincide with National Fair Housing Month.
The workshop will feature speaker Marilyn Leufroy, Compliance Officer from the Louisiana Attorney General's Office. Landlords, tenants, builders, lenders, architects, and real estate industry professionals are encouraged to attend. The workshop is free and open to the public and refreshments will be provided. Help for Baby Peter Ganucheau - UPDATE
Peter Ganucheau, Bob Stevens' (past President of CID, former Director of NOMAR and LR, and broker of the Stevens Realty Group Inc.) youngest grandson, was born with a life-threatening defect. Peter had a successful liver transplant on February 2 and his recovery is going well! Bob is heading a campaign through the Children's Organ Transplant Association raising contributions to help offset Peter's medical and related costs. The campaign goal is $75,000.
To close out the campaign, Bob and his family, along with COTA, are holding a fundraiser at Rock-n-Bowl on Sunday, April 23 from 1 - 4 p.m. There will be music by the WISEGUYS, as well as a parade of prizes raffle which includes Southwest plane tickets, hotel packages, restaurant gift cards, and much more!
