GSREIN Earns RESO 1.5 Platinum Certification
GSREIN announced that it became one of the first MLS' in the nation to achieve the Data Dictionary 1.5 Platinum Certification from the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO). RESO has set its goals to produce a common language spoken by systems that handle real estate information, such as multiple listing services. With this certification, GSREIN demonstrates that it continues to make member satisfaction its priority.

One Day, Six Hours of CE - Save the Date!
Kevin Hussey returns to Metairie on Thursday, October 5 for Water Damage #101 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Mold Remediation 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. These are separate classes and require separate registration, sign-in, and sign-out.
If You Received a Noncompliance Citation Letter from LREC:
- Visit http://www.lrec.state.la.us/view-education-record-124to view all the 2016 education hours filed by providers for your classes. They should total at least 12, and 4 of them should be one of the 2016 agent mandatory topic courses (http://www.lrec.state.la.us/mandatory-topic).
- If you did not take one of the 2016 agent mandatory topic courses (CFPB and You, CFPB and Agency, Agency, or the commercial alternative Land Use & Zoning), follow the instructions in Option 2 of the citation letter.
- If your hours include the agent mandatory topic but do not total 12 or more, contact the LREC for what to do next. Their contact information can be found at the bottom of the letter.
Review your CE certificates. If you have certificates for courses you do not see listed on your LREC website education record, contact the course provider for assistance.
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) Core Course Offering
The overall goals of the ABR® Designation Core Course are to:
- Prepare real estate professionals to thoroughly represent buyer-clients in real estate transactions and provide the quality of service and degree of fidelity to buyers that sellers have customarily enjoyed.
- Offer ideas and methods for building a buyer-representation business.
- Develop a self-customized tool for conducting a buyer counseling session.
To earn the ABR, you must take the 2 day course along with 1 elective. In Louisiana, you also earn 2 GRI designation credits and 8 hours of CE credit. This course is being offered September 12 - 13, 2017.
