Historic House Specialist Seminar
The Historic House Specialist Seminar on Thursday, Nov. 9, offers REALTORS® opportunities to earn CE credits while learning about the city of New Orleans and the historic neighborhoods and homes that make it unique. After completing all requirements, certified Historic House Specialists assist potential homeowners in purchasing and renovating homes.
This seminar will be held at the Preservation Resource Center, 923 Tchoupitoulas St., from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. to learn valuable information from local experts in real estate and historic homes. $75 PRC members/$85 non-members. Visit www.prcno.org to register.

Code of Ethics Cycle V Training - Due December 31, 2018
All NAR members must complete Code of Ethics training between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, regardless of when it was last completed. Please note that NAR has shortened cycle times; the training must be completed during this time frame.
How to Complete Code of Ethics Training
- Free online (no CE): https://www.nar.realtor/about-nar/governing-documents/code-of-ethics/code-of-ethics-training. Choose the FREE COURSE FOR EXISTING MEMBERS.
- Online for CE: Find an LREC-approved distance learning provider who offers a REALTOR® Code of Ethics course. Send the certificate of completion to NOMAR as soon as possible so that we can report your training compliance to NAR.
- Classroom for CE with NOMAR: Find an offering on our monthly calendar and register.
- Classroom for CE with another provider: Send the certificate of completion to NOMAR as soon as possible so that we can report your training compliance to NAR.
- If you are an appraiser only: If you complete your USPAP during Cycle V, send the certificate of completion to NOMAR as soon as possible so that we can report your training compliance to NAR.

Commercial Alternative to the Mandatory - Friday, November 10 in Metairie
Louisiana REALTORS® will host another offering of their commercial alternative to the mandatory topic for commercial agents called 1031 Exchanges and ADA. The course will be offered on Friday, November 10 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Metairie. Registration deadline is Tuesday, November 7. Click here to register.

New FEMA Flood Maps could affect your clients. These new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for Jefferson Parish will be effective February 2, 2018. Jefferson Parish has partnered with FEMA to hold two Flood Insurance Workshops, which will help you and your clients better understand the new maps, rating options, and more!
