CID committees are open to all members on a volunteer basis. Committees meet as necessary, determined by the Chair in coordination with the Board of Directors. If you’d like to volunteer for a committee or committees, we’d love to have you!
Responsible for overseeing the process that determines achievement award winners – setting the rules and regulations, disseminating the application, reviewing the applications, etc. Expected to meet every two weeks until after the Awards Gala, then on an as-needed basis for the rest of the year.
Chaired by the Board’s Secretary-Treasurer. Reviews the division’s monthly financial reports and helps plan the yearly budget with the President-Elect. This committee gives suggestions and modifications in budgets in accordance with CID’s objectives. Expected to meet twice per year to review financials.
Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Board’s bylaws and recommending any changes/updates that should or need to be made. Also coordinates any required membership votes on bylaw changes. Expected to meet on an as-needed basis.
Recommends and coordinates upcoming education courses and CID’s Lunch & Learn series. Expected to meet once per month.
CID’s biggest yearly event is held at Loyola University’s Roussell Hall and includes four hours of continuing education (CE) credit, with a diverse attendance that includes commercial and residential real estate agents, appraisers, clients and investors. The committee plans and coordinates the event, including venue, program, sponsorship and promotion. Expected to meet on an as-need basis until August, when meetings are held every two weeks until the event in October. There is one “wrap up” meeting after the event.
Responsible for growing membership among real estate agents and with other affiliated industries involved in commercial real estate. Also obtains sponsorships, including yearly sponsors and event sponsors. Expected to meet monthly.
Responsible for the planning and coordination of the annual Awards Gala and quarterly networking events. The goal of the committee is to foster collaboration within our industry, identifying sponsors and affiliates to offer networking opportunities with appraisers, contractors, attorneys, commercial bankers, etc., whom our members would be able to approach in a personal environment to trade ideas, information and perhaps even do business together. Expected to meet monthly.
This committee is charged with publicizing and soliciting applications for, as well as awarding four, $1,500 scholarships per year. Scholarships must be used for real estate education only.
