Commission to Cooperating Member Broker in the MLS
Specifying the compensation on each listing is necessary, because the cooperating broker has the right to know what their compensation shall be prior to his endeavor to sell. In the MLS you will see that the commission type display is now spelled as Percent or Dollars so that the offer of compensation is clearly displayed.
It is the policy of NOMAR/CID/GSREIN to comply strictly with the antitrust laws. NOMAR/CID/GSREIN will not knowingly permit discussions of individual broker commissions.

Data Compliance Grace Period
GSREIN will be implementing a new automatic compliance program later this month.
This program will find errors on MLS listings and will automatically send warnings and/ or fines to agents whose listings happen to be in violation of MLS Rules and Regulations.
In an effort to clean up the data errors in the MLS without penalizing the listing agent, we will be implementing a short grace period of two (2) weeks from the date of implementation.
During this time, rather than warnings or fines, the system will be sending courtesy notices to agents whose listings are in violation of MLS Rules and Regulations.
The listing agent will then have until the end of the grace period to correct the error. If the error goes uncorrected during the initial grace period, it will be escalated to a formal warning or a fine.
Should you receive one of these courtesy notices, please correct your errors immediately to ensure that you do not receive a formal warning or fine once the grace period has ended.
Please also be on the lookout for any emails from
**Please Note:
Violations on sold listings will be limited to listings that have closed within the last 12 months and violations including Incorrect MLS Area Numbers and Incorrect Sold Information (Sold date, Sold Price, and Selling Agent)
Please check your current listings for these possible mistakes. **Please note violations marked with an * will also be applied to SOLD LISTINGS
1. Current Listing Status
2. *Correct MLS Area Numbers
3. Complete and Accurate Address (including Street Name, Street Type, Zip Code, and City)
4. Accurate Room Sizes
5. Accurate Lot Dimensions
6. Attached Residential Property Disclosure
